Legend has it that in 1899, Charlie Thompson, a sales representative for the company, accidentally dropped a tray of samples he was showing a customer, mixing up the various sweets. He scrambled to re-arrange the collection, but the customer was intrigued by the new creation and Liquorice Allsorts was born.
These are an Australian made version of a British classic.
